Martha Dewey Bergren, DNS, RN, NCSN, PHNA-BC, FNASN, FASHA, FAAN

Dr. Bergren has a Doctorate in Nursing Science and is a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, National Association of School Nurses and the American School Health Association. Nationally certified in both Public Health Nursing and School Nursing, her areas of expertise include leadership, population health, privacy, and informatics. From 2011 – 2016, she was Lead Faculty in the Rutgers University Johnson & Johnson School Health Leadership Program that prepared nurses, health and education partners to bring about positive systems change for schools and their communities. She was the Director of Advanced Population Health, Health Systems Leadership and Informatics at the University of Illinois-Chicago and retired as Clinical Professor Emerita in 2020.  She is currently the Executive Editor for the Journal of School Nursing.
